Operation Hope and Abigail

Hope and Abigail have a condition called retinoblastoma, not easy to detect until you see that the pupil appears white or you may notice it if you take a flash photograph or eyes may appear to be looking in different directions. Left unattended it grows rampantly and is a gut punch to behold. Hope and Abigail’s mothers both noticed something changing in their girl's eyes but thought treating it with herbal medicine would help, it didn’t. Because the cost was prohibitive, and the girls were not in any major pain the eyes were ignored. That time, less than 6-8 months allowed the cancer cells to grow and multiply pushing the eye out of its socket and possibly spreading into other parts of the brain. This is where the race is now in full swing having just been told about the girls, we need to get them from The Democratic Republic of Congo to Uganda where the hospital, The Fred Hutch Cancer Institute /UCI is. We need to supply housing for operation preparation, the tests, X-rays, results and then post op care before the girls return to their towns.

With your support, we are hoping that we can be lucky enough to help both Hope and Abigail fight this disease and give them a chance at life.
